Knowledge Management

What We Do:

WCTS enables organizations to keep information and knowledge available at the speed of relevance. We use existing resources to create the organization’s KM structure, build a strong foundation of KM principles, and provide a document framework that will ensure an enduring way people, processes, and technology work together to make quality knowledge available.

  • KM Strategy: Provides the framework for effective dissemination and storage of institutional knowledge.  The strategy plots a path for the organization to manage data and information in support of knowledge trade and decision making.
  • Implementation Plan: The I-Plan directs how to execute the strategy.  It describes KM terms and definitions, activities to achieve desired outcomes, roles and responsibilities, milestones to monitor progress, and the plan to manage change.  The I-Plan is subject to available resources and organizational priorities.
  • KM Program: Provides the organization with an enduring plan for maintaining and resourcing the KM Organization and the initiatives set forth in the KM Strategy.
  • WCTS’ approach to KM offers the optimal alignment of people, processes, and tools/technology to enable: 1) effective dissemination, storage, and retrieval of institutional knowledge and 2) the ease of accessibility and utility of knowledge and information by consumers.
